Did you know that there are actually two most popular and well-known shapes for bridal bouquets? The two are your traditionally shaped posy bouquet and the teardrop-shaped shower/cascade bouquet.

Tips & Tricks

At Oopsie Daisy, we know the little tricks of the trade that will make you look glamorous as you walk down the aisle. If your dress is white or cream you won’t have a problem as any colour flowers will match. But if you are going the different route and wearing a coloured wedding dress, go for the same colour flowers or go for a complimentary colour – such as red with green, blue with orange and purple with yellow – or simply stick with white.

Wedding Flowers

When it comes to bridesmaids’ flowers, try and follow the same theme and compliment the bridesmaids’ dresses. Those adorable little flower girls also need to be considered if they will be carrying a basket of petals, so remember we have to take into consideration which colour petals you want as well. Another alternative is to attach a spray of flowers to a piece of ribbon and tie it around the flower girl’s wrist, tying the ribbon ends in a bow with long ends. This is particularly suitable for a very young flower girl who may find a basket awkward to carry.

A very popular trend worldwide at the moment is to use succulents which make for a stunning bouquet as well as buttonhole flowers and can with ease be carried through to the ceremony and reception!
